CONVERSE WALL TO WALL ART PROJECT in ART BASEL /2013 _ Hong Konk

Wall to Wall is a global campaign from Converse which brings together top street artists to transform blank walls into massive art pieces, all in the name of bringing art to the streets.
Over the past year, Converse has worked more than 20 Wall to Wall projects throughout Europe and North America.

Now Converse in the great China brought Wall to Wall to Hong Kong, during the 2013 Art Basel Festival.
Converse has taken over the HK market as of January 2013. "We are eager to re-ignite the brand to our consumers there,
primarily behind our new brand conviction: UNLEASHING CREATIVITY WILL CHANGE THE WORLD."
Currently in HK, there are engrained players, gallerists, artists, etc. that are over-used by the myriad of brands vying for the youth market.
"We want to rise about the fray and bring inspiration in a completely game-changing way.
We want to celebrate our audience, not ourselves."

ART BASEL /2013 _ HONG KONG

Art Basel stages the world's premier Modern and contemporary art shows, held annually in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong.
Art Basel has been a driving force in supporting the role that galleries play in the nurturing of artists, and the development and promotion of visual arts.
Hong Kong is extremely commercecentric. Their only pre-existing annual art endeavor is titled “Business of Design.”
The experience of Art Basel coming to Hong Kong is a validation of this marketplace as a critical influencer of art and culture in the region and can help to shape a richer appreciation of creativity beyond “commerce” and “business”.

From Sao Paulo city in Brazil Alex Hornest’s work is inspired by cities and their inhabitants – the interaction between the two. These urban themes are reflected in a playful and introspective way.

For our WALL TO WALL Hong Kong Project, Hornest has chosen Longhua Theatre in Tsuen Wan as his canvas, hoping to produce a fresh creation at this most marginalized local area and form interaction with its inhabitants.

Jamel Shabazz _ Street Photographer

Trailer for Jamel Shabazz feature documentary by Wild Style director Charlie Ahearn.

Anybody who doesn’t appreciate the spirit captured in Jamel Shabazz’s photographs doesn’t get New York. In a city that increasingly seems to squander the homegrown cultures that have defined it, "Jamel Shabazz Street Photographer", Charlie Ahearn’s rough-and-ready, almost familial documentary, pays tribute to this pavement portraitist of the late-20th century.

Mr. Shabazz’s well-recognized contribution, though not his only one, is his visual record of the 1980s, when he immortalized urban style and attitudes “before rap made them large,” as the ubiquitous Fab 5 Freddy puts it here. The film follows Mr. Shabazz on his rounds and places his photos in front of rank-and-file old-schoolers who toss off oral histories about the people (and looks) in the images. The games of “where are they now?” can turn boisterous, and sad.

The son of a naval combat photographer, Mr. Shabazz, who has also worked as a corrections officer, receives respect as a chronicler of communities, especially African-American ones, including members of the Five Percent Nation. He is seen working with his subjects to stage photographs, and the resulting pictures gain strength from the proud presentational poses and smart styles. Mr. Shabazz, affable yet intent, is shown taking fresh shots of high school students as well as veterans and dancers in street parades that neatly symbolize the pageant of life.

Mr. Ahearn may be best known for the hip-hop and graffiti film “Wild Style,” but his latest is a little closer to his humbler video efforts (though not quite as gritty as “Doin’ Time in Times Square”). “Jamel Shabazz Street Photographer” could be slicker, but it does its part in sharing in its central figure’s project of recording the living history that surrounds us.

ARCHTECT

Daniel Mye / ARCHTECT, Germany

Architect is one of Daniel Myer's many side projects, albeit one that has become a much bigger part of his musical life in recent years as his fascination with drum and bass has evolved. Labeling Architect strictly as a drum and bass project, however, would be a gross disservice. This is more complex, a side project where drum and bass meets IDM in the middle.

HECQ

Ben Lukas Boysen / HECQ, Germany

Whether under his artist moniker Hecq or as in-demand sound designer for film and tv, Ben Lukas Boysen has made a career out of transforming unusual sounds into compelling music. We visited Ben in his studio for a fascinating look at how he gathered and transformed the unconventional audio material for his latest endeavour, The Forge - a hugely versatile Pack that's part of the exclusive sound content in the upcoming Ableton Live 9 Suite.

Since 2003, Ben Lukas Boysen is writing, producing and performing music, specializing in sounddesign and composition.
The focus of every project is to find an efficient and direct way to leave a strong emotional impact, whether it is the production of an album or the conception and completion of a commercial project.
The concept of investing a lot of thought and therefore making every production special rather than settling with something fast and convenient is the driving force behind every project as well as the thought that every score, commission, track, or remix should get the same amount of attention and detail. In short: moving away from music and sound as a product and perceive every project as a customizable and individual challenge.
A number of clients like Cartier, BMW, Leica, Greenpeace, Lacoste or MTV have made use of this approach for their commercials, websites and general sound concepts.

Also different conferences such as; OFFF, Flash On The Beach, BD4D, Production companies/studios invited HECQ Audio to discuss this in workshops and lectures.

Novo Painel de Alex Hornest no Museu do Trabalho - Porto Alegre - RS

A arte de ONESTO a.k.a. Alex Hornest

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Yeah Yeah Yeahs _ Y Control

Length: 3:58
Genre: Alternative, Subgenre_alternative
Year: 2003
Director: Spike Jonze, Lance Acord
Composer: Nicholas Zinner, Brian Chase, Karen Orzolek
Label: Universal Music Group - North America

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000. The group is composed of vocalist and pianist Karen O, guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase.[2] They are complemented in live performances by second guitarist David Pajo, who joined as a touring member in 2009 and replaced Imaad Wasif who had previously held this role. According to an interview that aired during the ABC network's Live from Central Park SummerStage series, the band's name was taken from modern New York City vernacular.
The band has recorded four studio albums; the first, Fever to Tell, was released in 2003. The second, Show Your Bones, was released in 2006 and was named the second best album of the year by NME. Their third studio album, It's Blitz!, was released on March 31, 2009 in the US and on April 6, 2009 elsewhere. Their fourth album, Mosquito, was released on April 15, 2013.

Formation (2000–2002)
Karen O and Brian Chase first met as students at Oberlin College in Ohio in the late 1990s, where Chase was a jazz student at the conservatory. Karen then transferred to New York University, and while in New York met Zinner in a local bar, where they formed an "instant connection". During this time they also shared a loft with future members of the band Metric. The two formed an acoustic duo called "Unitard", but soon decided to "shake things up a bit" by forming a "trashy, punky, grimy" band modeled after the art student, avant-punk bands Karen O was exposed to at Oberlin. After the drummer they recruited initially bowed out, Chase joined the line-up.
The band wrote a slew of songs at their first rehearsal and soon wound up supporting The Strokes and The White Stripes, earning a significant buzz for their arty and garage punk scene. In late 2001, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs released their self-titled debut EP, which they recorded with Boss Hog's Jerry Teel, on their own Shifty label. Early the next year the band stepped into the international spotlight, appearing at South by Southwest, touring the U.S. with Girls Against Boys and Europe with Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, and headlining their own U.K. tour. Wichita Recordings distributed the group's EP in the U.K. and Touch and Go reissued it in the States.

Music style
Their style has been described as "an art-rock trio who made an edgy post-punk, dancefloor-friendly racket that mixed up Blondie with Siouxsie and the Banshees."

Esta Banda e o diretor deste clip são sem comentários.
Karen O... Falar o que dela?!?!?!?!
... tudo isso graças aos bons e velhos tempos de skateboard.
